Testimonials

My husband and I have used Mary Keyork and Nancy Elliott’s services for my husband’s application as a Canadian permanent resident. My husband’s application was for the most part straightforward, but also had its own complications: he had lived undocumented in Mexico and in the US for almost 5 years, and had Immigration charges to his name in the US.

They explained very clearly that he was not inadmissible, and if an agent made a mistake and refused his case, they were confident they could win the case in an appeal. I cannot express how much their confidence played such a big part in us hiring them. I can’t stress enough how the fact that they were always available and replied to our e-mails very quickly made it that much easier and allowed us to have some peace of mind without having to worry about every little detail.

My husband landed this January 2012. We are now starting to live the life we had long been waiting for. The work that Mary and Nancy did for us has a lot to do with this happy ending, and I would not hesitate one second to recommend them to any of my friends or relatives. Beside being great people, they handled our application with care, professionalism and were trustworthy.

Thank you Mary and Nancy, once again. I will never say it enough !

Spousal Sponsorship Application – Approved

I am a Canadian citizen and I married my wife who was a non-resident of Canada back in December 2012 at Toronto. After we got married in Toronto, I wanted my wife to stay with me while I submit her application for permanent residency. I did not want to go through all the application hassle as I have a very busy job in life. As a result, I approached Nancy Elliot’s service in early January 2013 to assist me with our application matters.

My first impression with Nancy Elliot’s firm was that the staffs are friendly and very detail oriented and Nancy very much understood how we felt. They guided us through in every step of the application process and they made sure that nothing is confusing in the application when submitted to the Immigration Office. They gave us the impression that they would aim for the target once which made the whole process very precise and efficient. In our situation, from submission in early May 2013 to
successfully obtaining the PR confirmation paper only took a little under 9 months.

We now live together happily and most importantly my wife is now having an official status in Canada without having to wait for years to come over, thanks to Nancy Elliot’s service and her team of dedicated staffs.

I would strongly recommend Nancy Elliot’s professional service to anyone in regards to immigration matters.

Spousal Sponsorship Application

My husband and I have used Mary Keyork and Nancy Elliott’s services for my husband’s application as a Canadian permanent resident. After filing back in December 2009, his visa was finally issued by the Lima embassy in December 2011. My husband’s application was for the most part straightforward, but also had its own complications: he had lived undocumented in Mexico and in the US for almost 5 years, and had Immigration charges to his name in the US.

When we approached Mary and Nancy with our situation and desire to see him come and live with me in Canada, we were worried that his past history in those two places could be problematic for his immigration to Canada. They explained very clearly that he was not inadmissible, and if an agent made a mistake and refused his case, they were confident they could win the case in an appeal. I cannot exress how much their confidence played such a big part in us hiring them. We could tell they knew what they were talking about and that they were competent. The information was clear and succinct.

From there, they explained everything we would have to do, organized our application and prepared a very well written submission letter. Throughout the process, they took care of communicating with the embassy and always kept us informed. Towards the end of the process, my husband was requested for an interview, mostly regarding his status in Mexico and the US. They took some time to review the whole application with him and helped him get prepared for the questions agents could have for him. Their attitude and explanations really helped him calm down and remain confident during the interview.

Otherwise, they were also very quick and patient at answering any questions I would have along the way. The immigration process as a whole is a long and stressful waiting game for which one doesn’t not know the end of. I can’t stress enough how the fact that they were always available and replied to our e-mails very quickly made it that much easier and allowed us to have some peace of mind without having to worry about every little detail.

My husband landed this January 2012. We are now starting to live the life we had long been waiting for. We are relieved and happy with the outcome. The work that Mary and Nancy did for us has a lot to do with this happy ending, and I would not hesitate one second to recommend them to any of my friends or relatives. Beside being greatpeople, they handled our application with care, professionalism and were trustworthy. I have no doubt in my mind that they were the right people to represent us.

Thank you Mary and Nancy, once again. I will never say it enough !

Spousal Sponsorship Appeal

Mary Keyork was my lawyer in my spousal sponsorship appeal. When our application was refused in 2009, me and my husband were so sad and confused because we were in a real relationship and just wanted to start our life in Canada. We did not understand why it was refused. Mary handled our appeal file and it was approved. My husband is coming to Canada in the next month and we are so happy. This would have been impossible without Mary. She was so good at explaining the entire process to us and was so patient. She gave us very detailed instructions on how to prepare for the appeal. We had to testify in court and we also had to prepare a lot of documents. Without Mary, the process would have been completely exhausting for us as there are so many details and questions in the hearing. Mary is a very experienced lawyer and her positive attitude and dedication to the file was amazing. I cannot thank her enough for her help! I recommend her to anyone who has immigration problems.

Thank you Mary!

Spousal Sponsorship – Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Immigration Appeal Division

My husband and I used Mary Keyork’s legal services for our Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) hearing. We previously submitted a spousal sponsorship application for my husband but he was refused in April of this year at the interview. We were very shocked and disappointed to say the least! We are married and our relationship is real so we took it for granted that our application would automatically be approved. Big Mistake! We appealed the decision of course but did not want to take anything for granted this time. We contacted Mary Keyork and she explained the process of appeal and our options. Luckily we were fortunate enough to qualify for the ADR hearing. With the support and professional work ethics of Mary, and her assistant Maua, we were successful in having our appeal approved in October. We would not have been adequately prepared for this hearing without their help and could have faced the possibly of being denied again. Mary prepared us for the hearing and made us feel at ease. In retrospect we regret not hiring Mary from the beginning to look after our spousal sponsorship application. We could have saved ourselves a lot of disappointment and time! It seems that love is not enough when it comes to Immigration and you cannot take anything for granted. We would definitely recommend the professional services of Mary Keyork to anyone that requires any Immigration help. Take it from us who learned the hard way, do it right the first time and you will save yourself a lot of grief!

Mary and Maua, thank you so much for your help! We look forward to finally being able to move on with our lives in the coming months. We could not have done it without you!

All the Best,

Humanitarian and Compassionate Application

Hi Mary, how are you? We are wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, lots of joy, happiness and blessings!!!

First of all,we have no enough words to express our feelings right now, anything we say would not be sufficient to thank you for what you have done for us! We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for everything you did, your argumentation, your professionalism, all the attention and care you demonstrated towards us!!! We finally became Residents Permanents of this amazing country after a long long journey of 11 years and you had one of the most important job done for this accomplishment: YOU EXPLAINED EVERYTHING IN A CLEAR, ORGANIZED AND, of course, PROFESSIONAL WAY that our lives, everything we have built here were so well exposed and detailed that resulted in the approval of our file.

We always will be thankful for everything and, certainly, this is the best present that we could have asked for Christmas! Thank you so much!

Blessings,
Juliana and Family

Visitor Visa Issued

Mary Keyork submitted my visitor visa application to the Embassy in Russia. I obtained the visa in 3 months. Mary Keyork is very professional and works very hard. She is very dedicated to her job and she always does her best to assist. The first day that I saw the way that she handles a file, I knew that I would get the visa. She was very honest in the paperwork and very correct. I got the visitor visa and I feel very happy working with Mary. I recommend her services to anybody that has immigration problems because in the end she will always get the job done.

Permanent Residence - Family Reunited in Canada

Thanks for your tremendous dedication, and support over the past two years on y case. I finally get the chance to reunite with my wife here in Canada. It’s a very complicated case, and before we retained Elliott Law Firm, I thought I will never have the chance to bring my wife and children to Canada. Ms. Elliott and her staffs provided a lot of support and guidance to us throughout the whole process. Her assistant, Amy, is very detailed oriented and hard working. They are very professional and incredibly proficient. My family and I are very grateful with everything they’ve done. I would have no hesitation about recommending Elliott Law Firm to anyone else.
